About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Health Coach practicing Wellness Counseling in Barrington, IL. I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. My clinical training was completed at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and The Center for Contextual Change. My style is warm and empathic, interactive, and deeply grounded in a strength-based perspective. To me, therapy is an opportunity to explore, grow, heal, and understand ourselves and our worlds in a whole new light. I approach each session with compassion, respect, and gratitude because I believe it is an honor to be a part of such an important and impactful journey.

I draw from Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and the practice of Mindfulness. I use these techniques to shape my understanding of each individual's unique experiences and to teach effective skills to reduce distress. I believe that by providing a safe and supportive environment, we can work together through challenging issues, as well find ways to reconnect with strengths and inner resources that are often lost in the face of challenges.
